“Don't waste your energy doing things you don't like” Interview with artists Jarmila Mitríková and Dávid Demjanovič

Jarmila Mitríková and Dávid Demjanovič both graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovakia. What makes the work of the artistic duo unique is the use of the traditional technique of pyrography – which was popular during socialism in former Czechoslovakia -, joined with different cultural contexts. One of their works won the Slovakian prize “Painting of the year” 2011, and one of the paintings Tatranian Satyr was featured on Works.io
